MAI Travel, a new luxury travel business, sought a distinctive and high-end wedding brand design to capture the essence of their bespoke services. As a company specialising in tailor-made luxury tours, their goal was clear: to offer elite travel experiences where no detail was overlooked. To stand out in a competitive market, they needed a unique, memorable brand identity that would resonate with their affluent clientele.

MAI Travel's ideal clients are discerning, affluent travellers seeking exclusive and bespoke travel experiences. A brand design approach
To meet MAI Travel's aspirations, I developed a comprehensive brand package, including a logo, business stationery, and a fully optimised website design. The design process was guided by the desire to create a refined, luxurious identity that would speak to the brand’s commitment to excellence.
The logo draws inspiration from the Takarangi (pitau) spiral pattern, traditionally used in Māori carving. This powerful symbol represents the intersection of past and present knowledge, as well as the entry of light and understanding into the world. The Takarangi pattern is also featured on the prow of waka (canoes), providing stability and balance while navigating through wind and waves, an apt metaphor for MAI Travel's ability to guide clients through their extraordinary travel journeys with ease and sophistication.
Evoking luxury and nature
The chosen colour palette for the logo blends deep, luxurious green with rich gold/yellow tones. Green, often associated with nature, growth, and wealth, perfectly reflects the eco-conscious, premium experiences that MAI Travel offers. The gold accent symbolises prestige, success, and prosperity, elevating the brand's status and aligning with the desires of their affluent clientele. Together, these colours convey a sense of luxury, sophistication, and a deep connection to nature.
